Health Literacy Guide

Happy Saturday to you all,

Health literacy translates to society’s ability to understand the need for preventive care and the possible avoidance of delayed diagnosis (Wolf, 2007). In addition, being health literate helps you to understand pertinent issues related to your health. Furthermore, literacy in healthcare will help us reduce our overall healthcare costs. I found this quick guide to health literacy on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services website. Enjoy… http://www.health.gov/communication/literacy/quickguide/Quickguide.pdf

Neat link! Looked at the guide. Have you considered dropping it off @ your local community partners working in healthcare and public health fields. Looks like I can use the guide to promote health literacy in my community. Good advocacy material. Try sharing the link on the social media.
